What is the function of NCERT?


             National Council Of Education Research and Training.


Before talking about the functions of NCERT, just understand-

                                              what is NCERT?

National Council of Education Research and Training performs the important functions of conducting and supporting educational research and offering training in educational research methodology. It also supports research programmes of other institutions/organizations by providing financial assistance and academic guidance.


                               Functions of NCERT-


1. Interacting with Media-

Media plays an important role in Development and forming a positive image. With the help of media, one can spread the news across the Nation. Through media, it pays emphases on the importance of Girls’ Education.

2. Networking-

Work in close collaboration with the constituent unit of NCERT, MHRD, Planning commission, Department of Women and Child Development, women’s studies centers, women’s university etc.

3. Helps in coordination-

Coordination of different matters, with the Human Resource Development Organisation, Date for arranging of a meeting, coordination between Different departments and solving problems, grievances of people from different departments.

4. Recruitment- 

Recruitment/Promotion of all academic GroupA‘ post of NCERT.

5. Regional Group Of Education-

Controlling and coordination section dealing with matters of Regional Institute of Education(RIEs) and appointment of academic GroupA’ & ‘B’ staff of RIEs/PSSCIVE, Bhopal. 

6. Campus and Maintenance-

Allotment of Quarters and maintenance of campus and its various building.

7. vigilance and litigation-

Matters relating to Vigilance(Attentiveness) and litigation of NCERT.
