IIIT Hyderabad conducts admission for the ptec programs through various competitive exams like JEE mains 2018. Undergraduate Engineering entrance exam, UG olympiads direct admission for students abroad the ASA and special channel for admission in present academic session, admission will be also provided by SBI mode to students who are eligible according to the prepared criteria apply for the UG and it is now available from the 6th of February. The last date for the application submission is on 15th of March.

1 JEE Main 2018 Candidates must fulfil JEE Main 2018 Eligibility Criteria Requirements

Must qualify in JEE Main 2018

Based on JEE Main 2018 Marks/Ranks
2 DASA UG 2018 Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)


Must have completed class 12th class or equivalent by May 2018 or earlier with minimum 60% marks (or 6.0 grade on 10 point scale) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.


For such candidates, taking AP Calculus course, AP Physics or AP Chemistry course is highly recommended.


Must also satisfy one of the following requirements:


Should have completed 12th or equivalent from outside India by May 2018 or earlier. The candidates should have scored at least 60% marks (or 6.0 grade on 10 point scale) in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.


Must hold a foreign passport


Should have appeared in SAT and scored a minimum 1070 aggregate score (out of maximum of 1600) in SAT,




Also required to have secured a minimum aggregate score of 2000 (out of maximum of 2400) in SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Both scores are mandatory.


Scores of SAT will be mapped as per the new format using concordance tables available from College Board (USA).


Admission through DASA channel will be through the subject SAT (SAT II) scores. The main SAT scores are used to break ties. Anyone with valid SAT II scores but have not taken SAT, will be considered eligible to apply for admission. For tie-breaking, such candidates SAT score will be treated as missing or equivalent to zero.

Through the SAT and SAT Subject Tests Scores. Both are mandatory.

Before the last date of the application form, the test scores should be reported directly to IIIT Hyderabad by the college board.

The primary ranking criterion will be the total of SAT Subject Tests Scores in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.

All candidates will be ranked based on the total marks first.

In the case of a tie in total marks, the following marks (in the given order) will be used to resolve the same.


1. Maths of SAT II


2. Physics of SAT II


3. Chemistry of SAT II


4. Total score of SAT


5. Critical Reading of SAT


6. Mathematics of SAT


7. A tie after this will be resolved with an interview over Skype.

3 NTSE-KVPY Should have passed class 12th and must have qualified for (i) NTSE, (OR) (ii) KVPY Written test and personal interview
4 Olympiads Should have passed Class 12th in 2018 and students selected for training in Science and Linguistics to represent India in International Olympiads. Final selection on the basis of interview.
5 SCA Mode The candidates should have extraordinary talent or background such as:

Selection in the Central Government Scheme UDAAN Studying in a six year integrated Class XII + four year undergraduate programme and completing the second year of study in May 2018.
