Joint Entrance Examination-
JEE Main 2018 Result ,Rank List,Cut Off Marks ,Score Card: JEE Main Result 2018 along with rank will be declared on 30th April 2018 (Paper 1). JEE Main is a national level examination organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Aspirants looking for admission in B.Tech & B.Arch courses offered by IITs, NITs and other colleges may appear for this exam. Various government and private colleges of India consider the JEE Main score for providing admission. For admission in IITs, candidates have to clear both JEE Main and JEE Advanced examinations.
JEE Main 2018 Result ,Rank List,Cut Off Marks ,Score Card-
Candidates can check the JEE Main 2018 Result only through online mode. Rank will also be declared along with the result. The score and rank of JEE Main 2018 (Paper 1) for all candidates will be declared on 30th April 2018. This score will comprise of the actual marks obtained in Paper-I along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2018 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met.
Rank will comprise of All India Rank and All India Category Rank. The result will not be provided through an offline method. The authority will not dispatch the rank card to any candidates. Candidates have to download it from the website. For the ease of students, we will provide the link in our article to check the result. After checking the result, don’t forget to take some extra printouts for further use.
JEE Main 2018 Result Date-
JEE Main exam was conducted on 8th April 2018 for offline mode and 15th & 16th April 2018 for online mode. After the examination, JEE Main Result 2018 will be declared on 30th April 2018 for paper 1 and 31st May 2018 for paper 2. Rank will be declared along with the result. JEE Main 2018 counseling will be started from the third week of June 2018. Students can participate in the counseling process according to the JEE Main rank.
JEE Main Score Card Details-
Following details will be printed on the JEE Main Result/Score Card:
- Name of the Candidate
- Roll Number
- Date of Birth
- Father’s & Mother’s Name
- Category & Sub-Category
- State Code of Eligibility
- Marks Secured in each subject, i.e. Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
- Total marks obtained by the candidate
- AIR (All India Rank)
- Category Rank
- Status to appear for JEE Advanced 2018
- The cut-off score to appear for JEE Advanced 2018.
JEE Main Rank List 2018-
JEE Main rank will be declared at the time of the announcement of result. AIR rank will be considered for admission through CSAB or JoSAA & other admission authority to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others. Tie-breaking rules will be applied in case of candidates scores equal marks in the JEE Main exam. The tie-breaking criteria are mentioned below:
JEE Main Tie Breaking Criteria (Paper 1):
Tie-breaking rules for paper 1 are listed below:
- Higher marks in Mathematics subject will be considered for a better rank.
- Higher marks in Physics subject will be given better rank.
- After that, positive and negative marks obtained by candidates will be considered.
- If the tie still remains, same JEE Main rank will be given.
JEE Main Tie Breaking Criteria (Paper 2):
Following methods will be considered for tie-breaking:
- Higher marks in Aptitude Test will be given better rank in the exam.
- Higher marks obtained in Drawing Test will be considered.
- A ratio of positive and negative marks will be considered for tie-breaking.
- It the tie still persists, the same rank will be given.
JEE Main Cut-Off 2018-
The cut-off will be released along with the result. JEE Main cut-off will depend upon various factors like students appeared in the exam, difficulty level, etc. Cut-off will be released category wise. Below we have mentioned the last year cut-off to appear for the JEE Advanced exam:
