National Institute of Technology, Warangal is also known as NIT Warangal is a public engineering institution situated in Warangal, India. The Institute was established in 1959 as Regional Engineering College Warangal. The institute was recognized as an Institute of National Importance and transformed into National Institute of Technology Warangal in 2002.

The NIT Warangal is one among the thirty one National Institute of Technology in India established under the NIT Act 2007 with full funding support from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
