HOW TO MAINTAIN A BALANCE STUDIES AND SOCIAL LIFE
Undoubtedly, education is the most important part of our lives which molds our future. But, nobody better than us students understand the importance of having a social life along with studies. Many teens and even adults face the problem of balancing their social lives with education. Teens in school and adults in colleges have been struggling to give enough time to both. Either they fail at maintaining good social relationships with their friends or fail in completing an assignment or a test. This article will help you to understand some ways by which you can master the art of managing both.
- A TIME-TABLE: – 1. This is the most effective way to manage your day and distribute time equally between both studies and fun. If you are studying in school then you mostly would not be allowed to use cell-phones at school. After coming back home you should take a power nap, complete your home-works and then use your phone or go out to play with your friends. 2. If you are a college- going student then you will mostly be left unsupervised. You have the freedom to use phones during classes but this should be avoided for your own benefit. Concentrating and learning in classes can help you to finish your studies faster at college and give you more time in the house to scroll through social media or hang out with your friends.
- FORGET THE DISTRACTIONS: – This is the age of fine digital technology. Our phones, TV’s, I-pods, I-pads, and laptops are devices that help to make our lives easier but they are also a major source of distractions for students. With technology comes social media. Scrolling through Facebook or Instagram, clicking photos on Snapchat and watching videos on You-tube is the favorite pass times of students these days. While studying, make sure to switch off or keep your phones on silent and do not use tablets or laptop to watch videos or listen to music. This will help to increase your concentration levels so that you can focus better, learn faster and also keep you away from parent troubles.
- SLEEP: – Sleep is important for your body, health, and mind. Getting a good night’s sleep can help you to perform the following day’s tasks better, study well and meet your friends too. You will be more energetic and procrastinate less. Sleeplessness can make you feel lazy, sleepy and make simple learning harder. This, in turn, can make your mood icky. 7-8 hours of sleep is advised by doctors and getting a good amount of sleep before exams are important as it helps to make your memory better.
If you are a student who is unable to maintain studies and social life, the above-mentioned points can surely make you more manageable and keep your stress levels down.
